I thought I’d better introduce myself … after a few incidents of working jobs and people tentatively approaching me and asking ‘are you Abbie?’. Tis me.
A small bit about me and why I started Superbloom Gardening. I’ve worked a full career in social housing but used to use gardening as my coping mechanism when things got a bit rough. I worked on the ‘everybody in’ homelessness initiative in lockdown and like a lot of people, found sanctuary in my yard and front garden. Over the years as I’ve built my knowledge and expertise people have come to me more and more and I realised there just might be a living in this. So in 2025, I went back to college to study horticulture and in February 2026, I quit my career of twenty years.
I absolutely love helping promote wildlife in and around Heaton and I’m Incredibly lucky to have amazing customers who want to help create a tapestry of green spaces to help wildlife thrive in our lovely community.
I always say there is no space that can’t sustain some sort of wildlife and greenery and I love a challenge – so feel free to get in touch if you’d like a hand with a yard or garden, or any space that needs a little helping hand.
